🇨🇿 Czech Republic

🤸‍♂️ Cirkus – Indoor Children’s Playground, Klatovy

A great place for children who need to burn off some energy when the weather is bad. You’ll find a large play zone full of climbing frames, slides, and soft obstacles. There is also seating for parents with small refreshments available.

Usually open every weekday except Monday, from 13:00 to 19:00.

🌊 Centrum vodní zábavy Kdyně

A pleasant saltwater aquapark. Children love the 60 m waterslide, water attractions, and paddling pool with a slide. The complex also includes a whirlpool, sauna, waterfall, and a children’s corner.

Entry is permitted for children from 1 year of age.

 

🌿 Environmental Centre, Železná Ruda

An interactive centre dedicated to Šumava’s nature. Children can explore forests, animals, and ecosystems through hands-on learning. An ideal addition to any trip around Železná Ruda.

🏍 Museum of Historical Motorcycles and Bicycles, Železná Ruda

One of the most interesting museums in the region. Children and adults will admire dozens of historical motorcycles and old bicycles, including Jawa, ČZ, and Harley-Davidson. The museum also includes a model railway.

 

🌲 Forestry Visitor Centre – “Dřevák”, Modrava

A beautifully designed centre showcasing the history of forestry in Šumava. Children can climb on models of log floating, explore exhibits, and try various interactive elements.

🐾 Kvilda Information Centre

A modern centre focused on Šumava’s wildlife, with exhibits about deer, peat bogs, and mountain ecosystems.

🐺 Srní Information Centre

Interactive exhibits about wolves, Šumava’s nature, and forest animals. There is also a small children’s section.

 

🏍 Museum of Historical Motorcycles and Bicycles, Kašperské Hory

An excellent museum with an extensive collection of motorcycles and bicycles. Children usually spend a long time here exploring the models and displays.

🧸 Exhibition of Czech Toys, Kašperské Hory

A nostalgic exhibition of traditional Czech toys – from wooden building sets to dolls and puppets.

💦 Aquapark Sušice

A modern swimming complex with attractions, saunas, a paddling pool, and whirlpools. The indoor pool is perfect for cold or rainy days.

🌊 Aquapark Osserbad Lam

A very popular aquapark featuring 3 indoor and 4 outdoor pools, waterslides, a children’s paddling pool, sauna, and steam bath. Suitable in summer and winter, for children of any age.

🐾 Bayerwald-Tierpark Lohberg (Lohberg Zoo)

A forest zoo accessible even in worse weather. Children can feed goats or donkeys and observe wolves, lynxes, otters, and many other animals.

🚂 Localbahnmuseum, Bayerisch Eisenstein

A local railway museum with 20 historical vehicles. The exhibition includes old trains, locomotives, and a model railway.

🌍 Naturpark Welten

A complex of five exhibitions under one roof: a model railway, the highest-altitude railway in the region, a ski museum, an exhibition about the Great Arber, and a display about the life of bats.

🦌 Animal Museum (Tiermuseum Pfeiffer), Regenhütte

The largest museum of taxidermy in Europe. A fascinating exhibition that captivates both children and adults.

🔮 Joska Glasparadies Glassworks

A large glassmaking centre where children can blow their own glass marble, visit glassmaking workshops, and watch glassblowers at work.

💦 Aquapark AQUACUR, Bad Kötzting

A complex with three parts – a classic pool zone with waterslides, a thermarium (warm pools, whirlpools, Kneipp path), and a sauna world. Suitable for children and adults, ideal on winter days.
