A lookout tower, an arboretum and fairy-tale corners in the woods — an easy walk for the whole family.
About the place
Bolfánek is one of those places whose atmosphere takes you by surprise. The woods around are beautifully kept and threaded with paths, so you can take a short walk or a longer circuit — and the country below the tower looks different in every season.
- The tower
- Bolfánek on the Žďár hill above Chudenice — what remains of the church of St Wolfgang. The gallery gives a wide view over the country.
- The American Garden
- An arboretum of North American trees you can walk freely among. One of the tallest Douglas firs in Europe grows here.
- For children
- The witch's hut up in a tree, and the water sprite's pool.
- Refreshments
- Hostinec na Poustevně right by the site, open from spring to autumn. They brew their own Poustevník beer; in summer there is seating outside.
- Where else
- Paths lead on to the Kvapil pools, to the Lázeň chateau, and to the Baroque chapel of St Anne.
