Swimming nearby

Just 3 km from the house you will find a salt-water lido, ideal for families with children. It has two pools: a 50 m swimming pool with a diving board, an 8 m slide and a water spout, and a children's pool with a mushroom fountain (not a conventional paddling pool — for non-swimmers we recommend armbands or a ring).

There are swings, changing rooms, lavatories and a small kiosk. The whole place is surrounded by a wide lawn where you can spread a blanket and rest.

The Klatovy lido has everything families with children appreciate: a large swimming pool, a pool with a slide, a paddling pool for the smallest, beach volleyball courts, water football, table tennis, badminton and pétanque.

It is large, easy to get your bearings in, and has a lovely lawn and a restaurant with a terrace.

A small, pleasant salt-water pool complex, perfect for families. There is a 25 m swimming pool with three lanes, separate pools with water features, a 60 m water slide (children from 6), a paddling area with a slide and two shallow pools (30 cm), a whirlpool, a waterfall, massage jets, a Finnish sauna, a cosy children's corner in the foyer, and a bar.

Note: children are admitted only from the age of 1.

An ideal place to swim in any weather — summer and winter alike.

It has 3 indoor and 4 outdoor pools, a paddling pool for the smallest, slides and flumes (62 m / 28 m), a sauna and steam room (included in the entry price), a solarium, and a bistro serving typical Bavarian food.

Children are admitted at any age, babies included. In summer there is also an outdoor playground with swings.

One of the more unusual places to swim around here — a former stone quarry with small beaches and an underwater observation chamber.

In the middle of the quarry, 8 metres down, sits the largest underwater observatory in the Czech Republic. Through its thick windows you can watch the world below the surface.

The ticket covers a guided visit to the underwater chamber, entry to the open-air gallery (sculpture, installations, painting) and the use of the site as a natural swimming place.

In summer there are often events here. Refreshments are available on site.

Aquacur is a modern complex in three parts: the pools for children and adults alike (indoor and outdoor pools, a flume, and a lovely children's paddling area with water features), the thermarium for warmth and relaxation (warm pools, whirlpools, a steam bath, a Kneipp walk) and the sauna world, a separate zone for serious relaxation (adults only).

In winter it is one of the best places to thaw out properly, and children enjoy the swimming side of it too.
